This is England II

Last day of our week here and we started off in fields of lavender. We filled three bags* with our cuttings and had a wonderful time wandering up and down the rows of lavender - we were so relaxed and blissed out as we drove home that we wondered whether we'd inhaled too much lavender!

After lunch we had to go to the girls' show - they've spent all week (10-4, Mon - Fri) at a stage school and today was the performance. A great show.

This was then followed by a treasure hunt through St Albans, a two mile walk around the town which was managed without too many squabbles amongst the three girls and only one clue failure.

Time for chinese takeout now, then it's back to the packing ready for the hideously early flight home, I hope I have room for all my contraband!

* I'm hoping I get through customs with mine!
