Wednesday: Temporary Blue Sky

Slept deeply all night, didn’t wake up properly until 7:30am and felt decidedly fragile. Had breakfast but it took me until mid morning before I ventured outside.

There were a couple of branches on the Cotoneaster and some thick brambles which I’ve been looking at for a few days, decided to take my secateurs and trim them down. The clouds broke and the sun came out for an hour or so - I pruned the pink roses near the steps too, then ran out of steam …

Found 2 portions of vegetable soup in the freezer, warmed them up in a saucepan and enjoyed some for lunch with toast. MrD arrived home as I was eating and was also glad of homemade soup for lunch because he was feeling cold and unwell too :-(

Watched a couple more episodes of “Hetty Wainthrop” on itvX - good old fashioned detective stories …!

MrD and I are watching “The Lincoln Lawyer” on Series 3 now … we also watched one of favourite films “The Commitments” never tire of that music :-)
