Thursday: Flowers in November
Slept well all night and woke up just before 7, weather ok but I’ve planned on doing very little today :-)
Temperature around 12°C all day but had thick fog most of afternoon and into evening too.
MrD has a horrible cough and cold, doctor prescribed a stronger cough medicine than the one we’ve been taking …
I cooked up a large pan of soup which started off with home grown leek, lots of shop garlic and lots of sliced shallots. Root vegetables: carrots, parsnips, swede and potatoes. Frozen broad beans, peas and sweetcorn, red split lentils and assorted homegrown baby kale and cabbage leaves - it’s delicious and will keep us going for the next few days ! :-))
Had a wander around the garden and was surprised to find so many flowers:
Along the top: Mexican daisies, purple alyssum, yellow corn marigold
Middle - orange calendula
Bottom row: white primroses, mauve scabious and borage with purple and blue flowers :-)
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
