A really eventful day G's first Mrs Salisbury
I could not find my trousers to start and as it was a sunrise swim I got dressed in the dark, and didn't want to disturb G. Never mind, I thought, I can wear my dry robe.
Met up with the lovely M as the sky was blooming with orange and pink. The sea was incredible; calm and mirror like and as we entered we had tingles with the cold whilst our ripples travelled out towards the distant Northey shore. We both powered to the buoy and back before a quick change and warm through on the sea wall with a flask of tea.
Then ... disaster. Poor Elizabeth, who was walking her neighbour's dog, fell and needing help, called us over. We got her up and back onto the path. After a stressful time; learning that an ambulance would be 14 hours; phoning Elizabeth's neighbour; obtaining a wheelchair and keeping Elizabeth calm (as, although brave, she was in considerable pain). We managed to move her safely to a car. She shared an interesting life story, a globe trotter, divorced and now happily living on her own in Heybridge. We determined to make contact later, when she recoveres. The lovely M just made it home in time to start work. When I got home, I soon realised that my phone was still in the lovely M 's bag. Returned to retrieve it, then relax and a chance to giggle over no pants and some of M's memories.
Later, G and I went for lunch at Mrs Salisbury. Some time since I have been there. Interesting decor and pricey (not much change out of £35 for 2 sandwiches and hot drinks).
