Friends

Today we drove north to the next community, Cambria -- an artist village -- to see Eric & Elin. They are friends from our southern California community.

We walked through a lovely indoor/outdoor store called the "The Garden Shed." Then we all went to the "Village Bean" to have some of the wonderful ice cream we had enjoyed a couple months ago when we had been here on the Central Coast.

They were here seeing his mom, Shirley Pittman, who is a local painter, so they invited us to follow them back to Eric's mom's home. What a TREAT! Her home is amazing; it is a working gallery filled with beautiful paintings, and she has a view to the north that is stunning and on a clear day with no fog or haze can see the Hearst Castle nestled in the trees above San Simeon.

We have a lovely time with friends today.
