The lane out of the village

I was up early for Paul in the Cherry Van, but the Ocado delivery was late due to delays on the M56 and A55 caused by accidents in the foggy conditions.

A delivery of Yew hedging arrived late morning. Several weeks ago I ordered some bare root plants from "Hedges Direct". At the time of ordering I was told they would be dug up and despatched w/c 11 November. I was emailed yesterday with a tracking number to say they were on their way via DPD. I am impressed with the size and quality of the plants and with the communication from the seller.

Not wanting to waste any time I headed over to Denbigh on errands, including a visit to the Garden Centre for some special Tree and Shrub compost and the yew saplings are now planted and watered in the back garden.

On the way home from Denbigh I could see banks of mist and fog forming with hazy sunshine penetrating. I abandoned the car at the side of the lane and started snapping with the phone (see extra).
