Oh My, The Blossoms!
I awoke with a sore throat and headache. Looking at our local radar, I completely understand. We are expecting heavy rain for several hours. Jamie called me just as I was getting up. He has been feeling unwell for a few days. I remarked to hubby when we stopped by Jamie’s yesterday, that he looked terrible. He told me his symptoms were worse today so I recommended that he go get checked. He has had kidney stones before and wondered if that was his issue so I encouraged him to go to the ER. He said at one point he actually had no blood pressure so they did extensive testing. He was probably dehydrated for one thing. The IV helped. The CAT scan showed he has a cyst that is too large to reduce with antibiotics. He was heloed to a large hospital in DC for surgery. He was told he will be there overnight at least. Renee has same upper respiratory hubby and I are fighting. Abi will go to the hospital to be with her Dad. I offered but he says he will be okay. Always a worry for mothers. I think we have way more blooms on my camellia bush than normal. The ground is pink with petals. Thought I’d better blip it today before bad weather arrives. This is the top half of the bush. It is colocated with a volunteer Japanese dogwood, hence the intermingled yellowing leaves. I wasn’t feeling up to going with hubby today. He is meeting my sister and BIL at our mother’s home. They are going to figure out what type of slip guards we can get for her new door steps. While there, they will cover the camper for the winter. My sister made the crew soup on this nasty day. I have chicken Alfredo all ready, just have to heat it for dinner. It’s been a typical chaotic day in this tiny speck on the earth. Wishing you quiet time. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “May our heart's garden of awakening bloom with hundreds of flowers.” — Nhat Hanh
