Marjorie's ramblings

Beech and birch

There was heavy fog in the North Tyne Valley this morning and it did not lift all day. I'm told that it was possible to go above it into the sunshine.

I went as early as I could to see Margret, but I was too late for the consultant ward round. He had to see the patients early. Margret was able to give a good account, but one or two questions remain.

We had a good and busy three hours together. Margret is beginning to walk much better with the Zimmer frame. That is great to see.

This afternoon I almost forgot that I had promised to do more photography for Ian (next door in the old chapel). We did more work on the writing on an 18th century piece of furniture. I am not convinced but Ian is sure there is a signature. Time will tell.

My blip is of the birch trees planted by Margret and Guy some years ago, one for each of their grandchildren. A few leaves are hanging on to my beech tree and I loved the image.

Tonight I watched the first half of Charlie Waite's talk for MyPhotoClub. He does have a way with words and some lovely images. I will watch the rest when I am less tired.
