Marjorie's ramblings

Still life

I have been wanting to try a still life image for some time. This was done in a bit of a rush, but it is a start!

My day started at 0620 when the phone rang. I assumed it was the hospital about Margret, but it was a friend who was checking to see if I left her a voicemail yesterday and accidentally made the call.  Phew!

I had a cuppa and then did go back to sleep. The problem was that I was then involved in a very complicated nightmare. I wished I had just stayed up!

I spent the morning with Margret. She was on good form today. The junior doctor came around and was brilliant. She sorted out some queries and took action as promised. Just how it should be and we were more than grateful.

The pyjama bottoms had eventually arrived from White Stuff, but did not fit. (Margret had said hers were one particular size, then remembered that they were men's....) She gave me the job of going to White Stuff in Hexham. I was glad to find a parking space. The shop did not have her size, but ordered them AND I can take the unwanted ones back in. (They were in my car boot of course.)

Then to Aldi and a quick food shop.

Liz called and we had a good chat. We know too many poorly people at the moment.

The most exciting news is that I am going to Namibia in January. There has been a cancellation on a trip with David Ward. I hummed and hawed, but Margret encouraged me to go. I feel a bit giddy following the (very expensive) decision.
