Botanics

A grand sunny morning, a 'pet day' in the vernacular. The Botanics are being set up for their winter theme park mode with more and different light displays. There are lights on 2m tall spirals to be set on top of the black frames in the pond in this image .. 

Extras : damp leeks in the vegetable garden, a larch tree by the middle pond. Standing by the gardener's cottage, the sun was warm. 

Out again in the evening; a former colleague and his family, who live in Los Altos, were visiting the city and came to supper with us at One20 on Dundas Street. Good to catch up on what used to be our local politics and some of our mutual friends. Their daughter makes opera costumes, so there was some costuming talk, as well as some radio discussion.
