Aimee had bought tickets to see London Grammar at the O2. She was only talking about it a few weeks ago and was looking forward to going but another thing, sadly not to be? JC rang me and asked if I would like to go with him and I wanted to say 'No' but 'Yes, ok that sounds like a nice idea' came out instead. I reasoned that Aimee would want me to go and I didn't want James going on his own. The singer is around the same age as Aimee and also attended Nottingham University - small world? I met JC at 7.00 and we grabbed a bite to eat and made our way inside........ only for me to realise they were STANDING tickets! Oh well - I managed, and did enjoy it in a strange sort of way but didn't get home until gone midnight which after the last week with very little sleep meant I was struggling to keep awake on the motorway on the way back.
It was good to have some 1-2-1 time with JC but it made me so sad when he said that looking round, it was clear that so many people were in a couple and he no longer had his soulmate. Such sadness for him and everyone that knew Aimee . xx
Have a listen if you haven't heard them before - she has such a great voice.
