Tuesday

Today was wet and grey.  No pictures taken but this was one from yesterday - No.2 sent it to me with the clay work which he had fired only 3/5 survived so he was very disappointed.  Although other potters in the studio were amazed with his work (so detailed and a change from the usual pots).  He was not deterred and said he would re-make the two which shattered.

No.1 stayed over and we did debate a walk but decided on breakfast first, however by the time we had eaten porridge it had started to rain.  We fiddled around and booked a restaurant for London meet up in December.  No.1 had asked to visit a school friend in TW on the way home so we drove back to Tooting after seeing her friend in her AMAZING Victorian villa in TW.  How do some people afford their homes?!  House envy for a while but we both agreed that there are always some people above you on the ladder but an awful lot of people further down the ladder (reminds me of the sketch with the Two Ronnies).

Home to Tooting and No.1 was disappointed that I did not stay for dinner but JC was expected home from his golf trip so wanted them to have an evening together without MIL in the background!
