Pink Paradise And Grey Reality

We escaped the madness by buying a day ticket for the vaporetti and ferries.  First stop Burano, pastel coloured and picture perfect.   Lunch was taken in a canal side square.

Next stop Murano, home of fabulous glassware. The sun went down as we returned to the mainland.  A quick change (a jumper added) and back out to sail the grand canal on our ticket.  Down to St Mark's Square, a mooch about there and then back to San Polo to seek out a restaurant which was closed, its day off.  We took a vaporetto back to the apartment then stopped in at the canalside restaurant below our window from which amazing smells have been wafting since we arrived. It didn't disappoint.
