The Compulsory Dunwich View

We walked northwards up the beach as far as the village of Dunwich, then back inland over Dunwich Heath. When in Dunwich one has to photograph the fishermen's huts and red boats! The village itself is relatively small - in Mediaeval times Dunwich was a bustling port, but that has all been lost to the sea.

Our route took us mainly through the wooded sections of the Heath - plenty of Autumn colour there, compared with the remains of the heather on the more open areas. Difficult to find compositions which did justice to the colours & textures we were experiencing - & too time consuming when one is on a 10Km walk - but one simple view is included as an extra.
