Silver Birch Sentinels

Perhaps Persimmon got something right in building Kingsgate on the Hathern Road out of Shepshed. They planted lots of silver birch in the recreational area at the entrance to the estate. The leaves turn a lovely gold and yellow in the autumn.

There's a stand of these trees by the road. They look as if they're on guard.
