The Feast Day of Saint Margaret of Scotland.
Circa 1045- 1093.
Also, The Feast Day of Saint Gertrude. There is a special prayer if you Google it, if interested, and it is helpful for freeing souls from suffering in Purgatory. Its called Saint Gertrude 's Prayer.
St. MARGARET is
Remembered as a charitable, God fearing, good natured, loyal Queen and mother of Scottish Kings. She was the great - niece of St Edward the Confessor. She was buried in Dunfermline Abbey, Fife. People venerate her and make pilgrimages to sites associated with her.
A mild dry bright morning here in Rishton.
I had a couple of good walks. One was into Rishton to visit the discount shop, Ray's, a brilliant "Aladdin's Cave". I also bought a lovely Sister and Brother in law Christmas card, from our well organised Card and Gift shop.
Later after my lunch and Holy Mass, I went out to do some photography of trees.
By early evening, it was raining heavily. It is a few days since it rained. However, the garden lawn is still soggy. I swept up oak leaves. I watched two episodes of Father Brown. I continued crocheting the current blanket.
I hope you enjoyed your Saturday blip friends. Thank you for dropping by.
