Late to the Party..

.. but Peter May's latest book did not become available in Canada until September...and now my library copy has finally arrived! At last! 

It has been along time since I read the trilogy so to get me into the right mindset for this new book, I have taken my copy of Hebrides off the shelf and put it back on my coffee table; I am browsing through it while sipping my morning coffee, immersing myself in that amazing landscape and being reminded of the specific locations he used as settings in those first three books...

The other highlight of the day was getting my winter tires put on the car...always a sad ritual as it is the sign that winter cometh. Putting the summer tires into long-term storage is also an indication of just how long it will be before I will need them again... so not a fun time! 

I have some outdoor plans for tomorrow to do some other chores for preparing for winter and have invited my brother to come out from the city to help..am looking forward to seeing him again now that he is back home from his cottage...
