Life's Little Moments

Fall...

Our trees are mostly bare now and the piles of leaves that had gathered around our property have mostly blown back into the woods, leaving a few stray leaves here and there.  I'm not even sure what tree this came from but something about the tones of it appealed to me so I snapped a few pics.  This one was shot with the sun behind it, providing some nice backlighting - and, then, because I just couldn't leave well enough alone, I fiddled with it a little in LR.

Hubs and I took Jax for a walk after lunch which was nice - it's in the 50's today with full sun.  A little windy but very pleasant outside so we all enjoyed the walk.  Jax got lots of sniffing in so now he's fast asleep.  And I can't guarantee that there won't be more naps happening here this afternoon.

We had a great virtual dinner with Peg last night.  Before we even knew it, it was nearly 10 PM - lots of good conversation.  I really am so grateful for the technology that allows us to do things like this, to feel closer to those who are far away.

I even managed to get some decent shots of the Beaver Supermoon last night before we had dinner.  It was so bright that it looked as if there was a flood light in the garden.  When I got up in the wee hours for a potty break, I glanced out the window and thought we'd forgotten to turn the backyard lights off...
