A fairy to frame
We bought the wee picture of the fairy at the St Columba's art exhibition on 26th October to help raise funds for the charity. Yesterday, as well the purple wellies, at the Bethany shop I bought a picture that will give me a frame for the fairy.
After all the trauma earlier in the week of organising buildings insurance on Tuesday, fixing Jack's camera and computer on Wednesday, and upgrading our broadband on Thursday, poor Mr hazelh spent 3 hours this morning on and off the phone to BT/EE following up poor broadband speed and sorting out our mobile phone contracts. This is really getting in the way of writing the first draft of... [wait for it]... our Christmas newsletter.
Meanwhile I have brewed parsnip soup and made a couple of aubergine bakes, gardened in my new wellies, and looked after Mummy hazelh.
It was lovely to see our friend Sam briefly at lunchtime. She was passing the house and saw that the front door was open, so called in for a chat.
Exercise today: none other than gardening (rest day).
