Saturday evening.
A bit of Cornwall in our home on a printed canvas, made from one of my photos of Mullion Cove.
I haven’t been outside today, because I was awake from 4:40am till breakfast time. I had my flask of tea at 5:00am.
I know it is useless to fight getting back to sleep so I have various strategies like listening to the radio, which help to keep me relaxed.
As a consequence I had a “lie in” after breakfast in bed and had a bit of comfortable sleep!
Lunchtime followed by Bobbie’s daughter, Sam, who was visiting her from London as usual, along with her son, Zabian, Bobbie’s grandson, aged 8 years old, FaceTiming me from the Residential Home.
She did the same last weekend.
It was lovely to see Bobbie’s face light up and although her speech is unintelligible, she is always so touchingly pleased to see myself and Stephen. She has grasped that I am recovering, as Sam has shown her two little videos of me using my crutches which I sent to her.
She blows me kisses when we wave goodbye at the end. Makes me quite emotional.
Then I read another Chapter of my book after which I watched a couple of episodes on BBCiPlayer, of the very enjoyable “Moonflower Murders”
At the moment we are listening to Classic FM at the movies. It’s great!
And Stephen is completing the Times Quick Crossword along with me guessing words which have a few letters intact!
He has two clues left, and I haven’t been much help with those!
He also went to the gym this afternoon for a much needed break, which was good. The first time since I’ve been back at home.
It did him good.
Hope your weekends are going ok.
I think winter is knocking on the door.
