Boring nothing-happened days are 100% better than exciting, dramatic, can't-predict-how-this'll-turn-out days.  Discuss. 

Today was pretty boring, in a good way.  Not much else to add.  

I planned risotto for the evening, easy, quick (boring?).  All systems go until I went to get the arborio but when I got there the cupboard was bare.  Bugger.  

I found some paella rice and went with that.  I wonder what the difference is?   It's only rice, right.  Not like these people who make celeriac risotto or, even madder, potato risotto on MasterChef.   Drives me mad.  

Anyway it was fab, with roasted squash and sage.  Forgot to photograph it. 

Achieved today:
Dug a hole
Wrapped my grape vine in fleece.  Winter's coming.
