ribbon stick

This here ribbon stick is the product of my labours this morning. Made to take with us to the festival on Sunday. Hoping it and some other bits and bobs will help keep the little miss amused.

First I collected my materials together, the ribbon I found earlier in the week. After a quick trip to the hardware store for the dowel and eyelets I headed to the local fishing shop. The nice man there was very helpful, if a little bemused, taking time to explain the differences between the 'swivels'. In the end I went for a 'snap swivel'. So now you know.

When I was assembling it I found myself humming the Ian Drury classic....(even if it is rhythm and not ribbon!)
