Saturday Self Care
I didn’t Blip yesterday as I was in agony. I got less than two hours sleep due to the pain but tried to rest as much as I could.
I expected it as us fibromyalgia warriors always pay for anything we do the day, week or even month before.
You have to just find a balance or you don’t have much quality of life. The comedy gig on Thursday night was worth it, such a good laugh!
I have certainly overexerted myself this week and have done for three weeks running so next week, despite having a very busy schedule, I am going to attempt to pace myself better - always aim for that, life often has other ideas!
I have had a rest day today, stayed in bed and had a shower this afternoon. I have had ongoing issues with my disabled shower for several months but thankfully I had a wonderful electrician out on Wednesday who finally resolved the issues.
It has made such a difference to me. I feel incredibly grateful. He has been an electrician for forty six years - he started at sixteen. Clearly, his experience resolved the longstanding issues.
This evening, I went to the Food Pantry for some surplus food (today’s Blip). The volunteers there are always very friendly and welcoming.
There weren’t many people there tonight and it was bitterly cold and rather damp but very grateful for what I took home.
It’s appalling to think that not too many years ago, so many supermarkets and other food retailers used to just bin perfectly edible food.
Grateful for a lower chronic pain day today. Got my Duolingo piano and Ukrainian done and some diary planning for the rest of the month and December.
My extra today is a Saturday selfie - a preloved top I found online for £3, wore it today for the first time.
I’m playing catch up with Blip journals tonight. I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend, thanks as always for all your kind comments, stars and hearts :)
