A New Choral Era

Today was the first concert under the baton of our new Music Director. It’s been a challenging term as we get to know each other and get to grips with some challenging music. The unaccompanied motets from Parry’s Songs of Farewell tested us all, but in the end they came together. The main item was Durufle’s Requiem, which proved a fitting end to the concert.

My blip is of the church we performed in; a quick iPhone shot taken during the short break between concert and rehearsal when I grabbed the opportunity to walk into the village for a much needed coffee.
