Managed a bit of a long lie before it was time to get up and so some tidying and housework - hung out washing washed the kitchen floor!  A came and sorted the cistern and we had a chat about his situation.

It was quite mild this morning but was noticeably colder as the day wore on.  Went to Straiton and as usual got picked out for screening - this is not random.  It was later than I planned before I got back.  Time for a quick lunch and then some checking of bus times.

Got glammed up and then walked down to meet E, first time for months.  We were early at Haymarket so went across to Black Sheep Coffee, for coffee.  The ordering is SO complicated.

Back to the station to meet L off the train, with a heavy, though small case, one night!   we came out the moon was just rising in the east, a really beautiful sight.  It was really cold now and we waited a while for a bus up to South Bridge.

Dinner at Mother India and then across to the Festival Theatre for Don Pasquale. It was very good, funny, if slight, and the soprano was amazing.  Had to explain the sory to L when we got home though.

Bus back up the road and then we stat and talked for ages, in a bit of a chill, I'd switched the heating off earlier and forward to put it on again.
