Sunday Cocktails

To bed in the wee hours but no need to get up early.  It was a slow start, a very slow start.  Finally after some breakfast we took a cab to Waverley and dropped off L's case, which I was still in charge of.

Next door for champagne cocktails with Christmas decs and surrounded, in the Palm Court, by people having afternoon tea,

Then across to the Guildford was a less than stunning lunch, disappointing really and the place was full of folk with wheelie cases.  It was very cold though, and the town was mobbed.  Managed a half hour sortie in John Lewis before I left L to go back to the station to meet her son off the delayed London train.  I went home.

There was a beautiful sky behind the Castle and the Christmas rides.  Later the moon was rising over the neighbours'.  I had a wee rest then made chicken rendang and stripped a bed and fed the Christmas cake.

It felt good to have a week end, a weekend doing different things.
