Basque

With the sun just about to set here at 6pm on Lanzarote...well, I say sun, been overcast the last couple of hours truth be told, but no complaints, no sympathy needed ;-)

A morning of enjoying the sun, swimming in the pool, reading books. Before heading townwards for a spot of lunch - Basque style hake (basically a lot of fish with Canarian potatoes in a buttery sauce with a few prawns and clams chucked in for good measure, plus a split hard-boiled egg - and a big shop to properly set us up here at the villa.

With darkness approaching, and a night in planned, there is also the start of the holiday's backgammon challenge to contemplate. Bring. It. On.
