Trixie's Adventures

Auntie Jill has worn me out!!!

Ann's sister, Jill (in this BLIP), has been staying with us for the weekend and we have had such a lovely time. She's an outdoorsy type of person so the whole weekend has been centred around going out with me. Yay!!
We've been for a walk through the 'Hermitage', we've visited 'Lost Shore', which only opened last week and is the largest inland surf resort in Europe, we've walked up the Pentland Hills to see the 'Alpine Coaster' in action, and then today we walked from Joppa to Seafield and back along the beach and stopped off for Brunch at the 'Portobello Beach Cafe Bistro'.

I was playing with my ball for about 2 hours this morning and OMG; I'm soooooo tired. Auntie Jill went off 'power walking' (because she got a new knee a couple of months ago and is on a bit of a mission to keep fit) so she was miles OK slight exaggeration in front of us, but actually, I'm sure that the amount of running after my ball that I did, was double however much 'power walking' she did. I don't think I've ever been so tired in my whole life.

Jill went home this afternoon and we just snoozed/watched TV for a couple of hours and then Ann woke me up about 3.30pm to go for another little walk. OMG?! Isn't it cold? Apparently snow is forecast.

Home now and we've got the heating cranked up. We have to stay in tomorrow because we're getting a smart meter fitted. Ann has been trying to get a smart meter fitted in our Edinburgh flat for the last 8 years and she's been forbed off at every attempt. …......But tomorrow is the day.

Yay! At least when we go back down to Cornwall we won't have to rely on a friend coming into the flat every month to take a meter reading and then EDF ignoring the reading and just sending us an estimated bill and then Ann having to phone up every month to query it?!!

We've had a lovely weekend with 'Auntie Jill'.

...................We sooooooo love it when friends/family come to stay and actually have an itinery of what they'd like to do when they're with us.
