The weatherman got it spot on - cold and wet.

I took advantage of a break in the rain late morning and went for a 3km walk around the outskirts of the village with a mixture of lanes and cross-country paths. 

The main photo shows the lane near home with the former red telephone box in the foreground and the new Openreach fibre broadband cabinets further along. Our full fibre broadband is due to be installed a week tomorrow!

The extra was taken high above the village, looking down over the Vale of Clwyd.

True to form, the rain returned just as I reached home. The afternoon was spent indoors, keeping warm and cosy
