Swimgo Bingo: another box ticked

It was a chilly dip in Cowbury this morning. The water was as smooth as glass and the sky was blue. We can tick off ‘swim with a helium balloon’ on our Swimgo Bingo cards as I took balloons for us all. It is lovely how a balloon can bring out a smile on people you pass…and when five of us walk up to the reservoir with a balloon tied to us then the smiles are huge lol.

A few months ago when this group decided to give wild swimming a go they dipped in and got out pretty quickly….but today, we swam out across the reservoir with the water to ourselves. We swam as a group for about fifteen minutes (in colder water!). It was brilliant. We had numb fingers and toes but huge grins.

It was as I was getting out that I realised I had forgotten my changing robe. Fortunately, Margaret had a spare towel…phew!
