First camellia
I knew I had a few buds on the camellia bush that were showing a little pink but these two blooms were not them.
A big surprise on Monday morning.
Have a great week Blippers!
A reminder to keep the people in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia in your thoughts. There are thousands living in donated sheds, campers and still some in tents. The temperatures this week will drop down near freezing with a strong cold wind and possible snow. Many have no cars as they were washed away. Volunteers in the affected areas are doing the best they can do to make sure people have food and a heat source. There is still major mud, trees, cars and parts of homes and businesses lining the roads the smell has to be horrendous. I cannot imagine the PTSD that will surround all these people, the victims and the volunteers who have been there since day 1...58 days ago. Jobs have been lost as well as property. The government, local, state and federal, has definitely failed to give these stricken people the help they desparately need and deserve. There is no accurate count of the number of dead. The mud has toxins from chemicals, sewer and other pollutants. People are breathing this unless they are able to access masks. This disaster has such long range repercussions for all in the areas affected. Mega dollars have been set aside but I can't find anything that they are being used for immediate needs. I still cry.
