Hiking day
My hiking group of 5 others met today for what was supposed to be a 4-5 mile hike.
It ended up being almost 9 miles!!!
We walked the Blue Star Trail at Anne Springs Close Greenway at Fort Mill. We crossed a suspension bridge over the creek, saw some donkeys and horses, an old barn converted to an event center, two old cabins and lots of leaf color. Walked along a couple of open fields where the big blue sky was perfect.
Then we saw on the map there was an old grist mill. So we drove to the other side of the property and found the trail. We walked and walked but never made it to the mill. The distances were not marked well on our map. We actually ran out of time because we had to get out of the woods before dark!
An adventure for another day!
