My backyard has been
transformed - haircuts and weeding
have revealed it all!

I was up before 6 and out the door to the grocery store for 7 AM. I did a quick walkabout and came home with two bags before 8.
The yard cleanup crew are to finish today. I took my coffee out the back door with me to photograph some of the changes.
My little lemon tree is looking pretty good. I have more lemons than I'd first thought now that I can see it in whole. The lemons are not completely ripe yet.
The orange tree was cut back so I hardly recognize it. I'm a bit concerned going forward with the trunk so exposed to the sun. I'm not sure that is good for the tree. I will start to water it each week now. It doesn't get water in the winter while I'm here, unless we have a storm. But I think it could use it to revitalize. I have my fingers crossed for next year. It should set blossoms before I leave in March. By then, I should know more.
A little flock of white-crowned sparrows have flown in to investigate this changed landscape. They flit about and peck at the bits of debris on the ground.
I'm hoping the crew arrives to finish before noon. I have some laundry that needs attending to. I'll wait until the dust settles before pegging it out on the line.
