Door knobs and letter boxes
I called into the Edina lock and key shop at lunchtime today. I wanted to ask if they could make a plaque about the creation and restoration of my car car. This can be done, although it's more expensive a job than I expected.
Despite the cost, I still put in an order. I am keen to recognise the work of two of the most important men in my life with wording that will eventually be found on the underside of the car car.
I will blip the plaque when I pick it up next week. My father-in-law will attach it to the car car when we head south for a few days next month.
Earlier in the day, Karen and I took a different route to the gym. We walked via my friend Tzipporah's flat so that I could post a congratulations card through her letter box. Last Friday Tzipi won a Creative Edinburgh award for her work to establish the Neuk Collective. The Collective brings together, supports, and advocates for neurodivergent artists in Scotland.
After my morning at the gym, I had a busy afternoon of supermarket shopping, tidying up, and then working on copyeditor queries for my co-authored journal article on audience engagement with digital archives in two different formats. I enjoyed the challenge of creating 140 word lines of alt text for the pictures in our article.
We are looking forward to the quizzes this evening.
My blip shows some of the displays in the Edina lock and key shop. Who knew that there are so many different styles of traditional letter box?
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; swim (60 lengths); walking (17,177 steps).
