Back Once Again Like The Renegade Master
H from Steps is back. I thought I'd seen the last of him as he's been gone for about four months but he jumped out on me a couple of days ago, shouting 'Here I am, where's the food?'. When we were feeding him earlier in the year, he had a baby with him a couple of times. We named the baby HS2, who knows where he might be; pushed away to a new territory. Whatever, HS1 is back and I couldn't be happier. He was waiting for me when I arrived at his tree and he took 3 bits of suet. He came back to my whistle when I was on the way home and this time he took 5 pieces, landing for a little longer. We're rebuilding trust.
When I returned home, there was a fabulous woodpecker (the red one) on the feeder but I didn't manage to photograph him.
I made butternut squash soup for this evening, looked at my long list of things to do and put the telly on. In the daytime. No-one will ever know.
