Tea for Two

 We had a quick sprint round M&S in Newcastle (under Lyme) this afternoon to try to kit me out with a respectable pair of black trousers, or something suitable to wear for Steve's funeral on Friday. At over 6' it was a tall ask and I didn't find anything to suit, even though the size said tall. Found a lovely simple black and white dress though. The size on the hanger said 16. When I tried it on it was very nice but a little snug so I asked the Assistant if she thought I should try on an 18. She said no so I thought I'd have it. As I left the cubicle I caught sight of the label attached to the dress ..... size 12 - whereas the hanger said 16. ...... I've ordered a size 14 tall which I'm picking up tomorrow so I don't have to hold my breath too much!
