An evening of astrophotography

I took no photos all day, confidently expecting to have an image of the Milky Way for you. The thick cloud obscured every star in the sky!!

We were at Christine’s house, set on a ridge at the edge of Aydon Village in a very dark area. Larry and John are excellent photographers and both love astrophotos. Larry explained a marvellous app called Stellarium. You can look at the night sky anywhere in the world, or look from the moon. It’s mind blowing.

I was wearing extra thermal layers and had unearthed my special furry hat with ear flaps but needed none.

Christine’s husband, Kevin, made excellent sausage rolls as you see.

We had a great evening and learned a lot.

My day started with a quick trip to see Margret who was still the same. She is very touched by everyone’s kind comments on here.

I then drove to Newcastle to see my very lovely psychiatrist. Before the end of the session he recommended a walk I can do from Keswick next week.

Poor Julie was due to have her knee replacement this morning, but she had unwittingly taken a tablet that was banned. Not surprisingly she is furious. She cancelled a weekend trip away because of the operation.
