Snowy

No buses for the Bus Pass Walkers today.  Snow began to fall just after 7pm last night and began to ease off around 02:45am. The roads were fine this morning and thankfully it wasn't icy.  We had arranged to meet up at the garden centre, and initially we thought we might just have a coffee and go home!  However, pilates was cancelled and L contacted us to see if we were going on a walk. She joined us and we walked up into St Ives  Estate. Finally got to Baxter's Pond.  The water is much clearer, but with a little snow cover it was difficult to see what clearing up had been done by The Friends of St lves. We took the bottom path and the snow was thawing very quickly. We walked through Betty's Wood and up the hillside - rather muddy! We then returned past the golf course and went to The Ivy Kitchen for lunch.  After that we walked around Coppice Pond. The snow was disappearing quickly by then.  3 of the walkers then walked back to the village and 3 of us went the other way and back down to the garden centre.  I then spent quite a while looking at Christmas items, but no purchases made. As I left the sun was already going down. Main images were taken as we set out this morning.  Extras taken when returning home this afternoon - the snow disappearing as the afternoon progressed.  Just a small covering in places now.
