Life's Little Moments

By dbifulco

Autumn...

... Meadowhawk, a small dragon in the Family Libellulidae.  They must not have the same sensitivity to freezing nights as most of the other dragons as they can be found late into the fall months on warm days.  I met up with a couple of friends to walk/bird this morning and we ended up seeing a handful of these dainty little odes.  Of course, I had a 300 mm lens, not perhaps the most ideal for a small insect, but one does what one must...

I will put one other shot in Extra of a mature Cedar Waxwing with the most prominent crown of feathers I've ever seen.  All in all, a very enjoyable morning.  It started out chilly but by mid morning, the temps were quite comfortable.

An otherwise uneventful day, one that will be capped by a square of dark chocolate with cayenne.
