An ordinary life....

Frosty fields...

All go today.

Early morning trip to collect my prescription from the chemist as well as a couple of other errands.  Back in time for the engineer coming to look at the tumble drier.  He was here for 15 minutes....three minutes to identify the tumble drier needs a new motor and 12 minutes to fuss over and play with Lola!  He said meeting the dogs in the households he visits is the best part of the job.  He will order a new motor and return to fit it asap.

Just before midday one of D's golf buddies from Leven arrived, another David (but known as Dave :-) He and D were supposed be playing here but the course was closed because of the hard frost, so we all had bacon rolls then he and D headed to the driving range at Gleneagles and spent a couple of hours there.

In the meantime L arrived with her industrial machine to clean the living room carpet.  No matter how thoroughly we clean my wheels they leave marks on the carpet and it drives me mad.  We've ordered some carpet protector to use over the winter in the hope it keeps it presentable for the next few months.

I then spent a chunk of the afternoon crocheting the next baby blanket for our second great niece due on 28th January.  Got all the grannny squares joined and the first three rounds of the border done.  If I keep at it I should have it finished within the week.

And it's all happening on the health front.  After the phone call from the Gynae consultant yesterday, I got a letter from the physiotherapy dept today inviting me to ring for an appointment in connection with my UTIs.  I was referred by one of the other gynae consultants in June who said my large uterine fibroid is pressing on my bladder making it difficult to empty, so he wanted me to be scanned by the physio dept and given exercises to help.  He said there was a six month waiting list so happy to have been contacted a month early.  I will call them tomorrow to make arrangements.

Watched Bake-off.  The finalists are as I predicted.
