Familiar Comforts
Waiting for a late afternoon call from Mum's GP I took Meg out to Rhydyronen, a favourite spot of mine and Mum's. We first walked up here in the summer of 1970 or 71, mum pushing my sister in a pram or pushchair. Today there was snow on the tops of the hillsides up the valley and lots more snow higher up. Cold. After a cloudy day, the blue sky was a welcome tonic.
The call when it came brought significant news in the test results from last week's appointments. The way ahead lies between two treatment options, both leading to the same ultimate outcome. We will talk with Mum over the next days and help her to decide which route to take. The doctor will visit her at home next week and a District Nurse will visit too. Ensuring Mum has the best care and comfort are what matter most to us now.
Earlier in the day, after a long sleep in, I had collected the latest haul from pottery. Some really lovely things which will feature here soon for certain :-) Extra pic of a tiny vase with a new glaze that I bought to try. Sparkly!
