Water Lilies (non Monet)
One of the nice surprises of travelling through the north west of Scotland in good weather in July/August is seeing the lochans brimfull of wild water lilies. I couldn't get close enough to any of the wild ones - the weather hadn't quite brought the flowers out and the passing places were often too narrow to allow me to stop long enough to get a shot, that's my excuse, anyway - so I had to make do with this shot of tamer flowers at Attadale Gardens on the shores of Loch Carron.
The usual story, the clegs were fierce - they LOVE me and I was tempted to blip a photo of my skin's impressively dramatic reaction to the bites - so I raced through the grounds, feart to stop too long in one place.
