On our way
We left the Airbnb just after 7:30 am to get to the Munich airport in time to return the rental car and check in for our flight home. Going through security, we both had our backpacks set aside and scanned but everything was okay. Getting our boarding passes and declaring our purchases went well, with everything automated and people there to help if we needed it. After the final step of having our passports stamped, we went for breakfast then found the gate for boarding the plane. I know that I would have some problems navigating that airport by myself so I was glad that I was with Renata.
The flight was a bit longer than the one going over, just over 11 hours. All went well with that too, and Spencer met us and drove us home. Krista arrived at exactly the same time, bonus to see her too! I called G to let him know that we’d arrived. Really looking forward to seeing him tomorrow!
James had started getting ingredients together to make mushroom soup, and Krista and Spencer pitched in to finish it off. Great to have that and a spinach salad. We caught up for a bit and are having an early night in bed.
Concerned about ferry cancellations in the morning because a storm that’s being called a “bomb cyclone” has moved in with heavy rain and high winds. Fingers crossed that I will be able to get home.
Not much chance to take photos today, so I took a couple of quick ones while we were waiting for our breakfast.
