More blue than white!
Very, very, very cold today but the snow has been largely replaced by blue skies which are lovely to see despite the temperature.
Here is the view of St Ives woods across the football pitch (next to the cricket field) opposite Woodbank garden centre where we went to buy a presentation gift for someone at luncheon club.
As you can see there is very little colour left in the trees.p but more than made up for by the sky.
We had a coffee whilst there and I bought some special family Christmas cards which triggered me getting all my cards out and start to write them when I got home.
We enjoyed the EOS of Van Gogh last evening at Ilkley, it’s a great way to see the exhibitions but a note to self - having a meal before instead of after is perhaps not such a great idea, in that cosy warmth it was difficult to ward off falling asleep!
This morning I’ve booked another for next March to see the EOS of ‘The Dawn of Impressionism’. Our favoured seats have already gone!
Whilst we’ve had blue skies the east coast of Yorkshire has had heavy snow this morning and unlike here yesterday it has caused chaos on the roads. Our burst of winter isn’t over yet my iPad says it’s 2 degrees C in Harden now but the forecast is for 14 degrees C by Sunday. Crazy!
