The white stuff!

Walked home from choir practise at church in the dry last night but 20 minutes later at 7.30 pm it was snowing.
Still snowing when went to bed just after 10.30pm. Exciting!

It had stopped by 7.30am when we got up but there was quite a covering. I took this photo through the conservatory window at just after 8.00am but you could see it was starting to melt. We’d had notification that the roads were fine so Chris headed off to Guiseley for his early hair cut without any problem but not long after I had a text to say Pilates was cancelled. She has 4x4 so I’m sure she didn’t have a problem but was concerned for her largely elderly clients heading out in the cold.

I’d dismantled the jigsaw (extra) ready to return it to the Congregational church where we have our Pilates class. It is if Amalfi and was tricky across the middle area. I completed it before going on holiday and it was still on my fold away mat. I’ll be starting a new one soon hopefully when I’ve got my sewing out of the way.

Posting early as we are off to Ilkley this afternoon for a late lunch (good job the snow hasn’t caused road problems) and then to Ilkley cinema for an Exhibition on Screen - ‘Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers’. I believe it is a current exhibition in London.
This is the fourth EOS we have been to and they are excellent, especially the first one Vermeer which was a sold out exhibition in Amsterdam, a bit different from Paddington in Peru last week!

The ‘winter’ is to continue all week we’re told but autumn will be back at the weekend.
