Walking Home
What a fabulous morning, bitterly cold and bright blue skies, perfect for wrapping up warm, digging out the bobble hat and heading out for a walk. I took to the road or the 'Mad Mile' on my outward journey as I had a cafe meet up with friend Bev and didn't want to be late. It still took me longer than I had allowed because I just had to stop and photograph the snowy fields against the blue sky. There is only a smattering of snow remaining from yesterday but it has frozen hard with the drop in temperature.
Bev and I had a good catch up over toasted teacakes and hot chocolate with extra marshmallows then I walked back with her to her home before taking the off road route back to the village. Thankfully, the resident puddles on the lane were crunchy underfoot so it was a very pleasant wander home away from the mad mile traffic.
Tony had my soup on for lunch when I arrived and once I've finished writing this I will have to get to grips with the bathroom......
