Shadow

Sunny and chilly this morning.  It's the first morning my gloved fingers have felt the cold this autumn.

Quick market shop.  Back home took the hound out for walk #1.  On return made a Swiss carrot cake.  It has no butter just eggs, brown sugar, grated carrots, lemon zest,chopped hazelnuts and flour.  Apparently I've made it before as I've got a pencilled tick against the recipe but I don't recall when.

Tomorrow is Mr's birthday.

After lunch and a message from my student cancelling our afternoon reading session i took the hound out for walk #2.  Sun dipping and shadows elongating added an extra chill.

After a warming milky coffee made a pasta sauce for dinner.

It's a chilly night ahead.

Watched The Old Oak on Netflix. A heartwarming Ken Loach film.
