We’d a talk at lunchtime to attend - Bruce McLean up at the Hawthorndene. Cancelled due to the weather and travel difficulties, apparently. Harrrummmph. It’s always the same at this time of year. At the risk of sounding like some grumpy old fart, can I just say I mean, it really shouldn’t be a shock. Winter comes. Every year. Round about this time. 
Anyway, I took myself off up town and looked into Celebrating 40 Years of Scotland’s Photography Collection at the Portrait Gallery. That left me so unimpressed I went off and got a haircut. James is always a good chat.
What else has been happening? We’ve allowed Ukraine to fire our Storm Shadow (nice name!) missiles into Roosha. They’ve only got half a dozen of them - we kept the other four. I made that up. However it’s true they each carry about 1,000lbs of explosive. Given that the RAF dropped 9,000 times that amount on Dortmund in a single raid it could be thought that this isn’t exactly a game changer. Though Putin may have other views of course.
