Looking Out My Window

We got up at 5:15 to have everything ready when my sister and BIL arrived. The big new cooler was full. I put the two pies in a flexible cooler bag. There was also a box of tomatoes from my garden that are ripening in paper bags. Job done! I really wanted to go back to bed. Instead, we said morning prayers and ate breakfast. Vegetables are on sale for $.50/can so hubby bought us a couple cases. He also purchased several of the gift cards I need for family members and our mail carrier. I washed dishes and ironed all my clothes. Love getting that job done. Now my bags are packed. We started checking off items on our travel check list. The rest will be completed tomorrow. My sister ran into snow at two locations. It was really coming down as they neared the farm. Sure hope it doesn’t completely melt until Monday. The long range forecast predicts snow on Thanksgiving in that part of WV. We are invited to town and are providing dessert for the Thanksgiving dinner. We need clear roads for that to work out. Parker has been looking forward to going back to Hoagie’s since last November. They have corresponded throughout the year. I cannot wait to pick up the quilt I won in his NC relief fundraiser auction. I had a different photo ready to upload for my blip. But when this cute bird stopped by, I had to use it. A chickadee and Carolina wren were also here but flew away before I could turn on the camera. Boy, it has gotten cold outside. It’s 44°F but the wind is blowing. Lauren and the children stopped off goodies and we met them at the car so the kids could stay put. Isla is saying a lot of new words. She cannot master “Gram” yet, soon though. We dearly love those great grands, just like the grands. Wishing you special times with those you love. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “When you look out of a window, when you look at anything, you know what you’re seeing? Yourself. A thing can only look beautiful or romantic or inspiring only if the beauty or romance or inspiration is inside you.” — Fredric Brown
