Dahlia - 'Moonfire'

A bit of experimentation today. I was in the Botanics this morning with my friend and decided to try and produce something in the style of Andre Gallant and Freeman Paterson, which they called photo-impressionism or dreamscapes. It is years since I heard them give a workshop at Edinburgh Photography Society and I have only a hazy recollection of their techniques which were developed in the days of slide photography. Their initial images were created by slide sandwiches (two slides one on top of the other) but I have tried to adopt this to digital photography. As yet I do not feel I have created a sufficiently dream-like effect but I think I will persevere with this technique and see what I can develop eventually
